I got this idea earlier today, from a post i viewed http://www.sewcountrychick.com/2012/11/little-hands-turkey-thanksgiving-crafts.html I just added legs and a 5yr olds smile. This is the turkey i found in the link. We didn't waste anytime....after school we went right to work on our little hands turkey. I told her about the turkey on the way home from school...she thought it was a Great! idea...lol.
After we (me & my 5yr old granddaughter) cut out her fingers and the turkey's body, she wanted to use the color pencils to write on her turkey. We had no Brown paper, so we used green in place of the brown. We used colored eyes as well, and red paper to make the nose...lol.
After clueing our turkey feathers (fingers) on, my 5yr old granddaughter suggested the turkey needed feet. In her own words "Hey! where's his feet!"....i tried to tell her they were hiding behind his feather's. Can't tell a 5yr that one...lmbo!
So, i suggested we make some. We used crafting sticks...she picked green to go with his body.
We traced the crafting stick...using left over paper "green"...
Then we cut them out (2)
We glued them (cut out feet) to the sticks..
Then clued them (the sticks)to the back of the turkey...
Then we were all done....The little-hands turkey "with Feet"!!!
Great Job Reiya!!!!
